“I repair computers, not boilers,” Jess repeated.

“Someone phone Prospero!” Lester barked. “Didn’t Burton invent something to do with central heating?”

“The room temperature super-conductor,” supplied a technical assistant with no survival instinct.

“I rest my case! He can get a screwdriver and fix it…”

Jess shivered. She’d not come dressed for anything this cold. She didn’t even have a coat.

Becker appeared next to her and wrapped his snuggly black and red shirt around her shoulders and put a steaming mug of hot chocolate on the desk.

“If that doesn’t help, we can huddle together for warmth,” he whispered.
