“There’s an accident on the A339 north of Newbury,” one of the technicians commented.
“Already showing on the sat navs.” Jess’ fingers danced lightly over the keyboard as she quickly reviewed the route to the latest anomaly.
“The Minister’s sister plays at the Donnington Valley Gold Club?” Lester said, for the fourth time.
“I’ll remind the team not to swear too loudly.”
“I think you’ll need to send a second team,” Becker advised.
“You’re on sick leave!” Jess snapped. “Now go away, all of you, now! I’m the field coordinator here, remember? Becker, some chocolate would be nice, thank you.”
