Finished !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's quarter past midnight, and I've just finished the last chapter of Falls the Shadow and I'm bloody knackered!!!!!  The latest Stephen/Ryan Primeval saga has eaten five months of my life in the writing and runs to something in the region of 33,000 words. That's a helluva lot for something that started life as a quick pay-back scene between Ryan and Helen. *sigh*  Memo to Self  (1) - Learn to write plans before embarking blindly on something and blundering cluelessly along.  Memo to Self (2) - No. More. Epics.

Now "all" I need to do is revise, edit, polish and generally muck around with chapters 11 - 14, and this whole saga will be over.  Thanks for all the encouragement, folks, I just hope it doesn't disappoint those tenacious mebers of the various comms who've stick with me over the writing of this one. For personal reasons, it's been a difficult one to finish off, but I got there in the end! I'll have the lot posted over the course of the next week.

*does happy, but exhausted dance and wanders off to bed with a drink*

Edited post : I've just realised that I finished this just before midnight on 6th May, which is exactly a year to the day when I posted the very first fic in this series, Predator, and, like Topsy, the whole thing just GROWED!!

Congratulations. Finishing epic multi-part stories is always both awesome and a little sad at the same time. But Falls The Shadow is definitely a fic I've been enjoying so I appreciate the writing of it :D
