Lester leaned back in his chair, fixing Matt with one of his best bland stares.
In the silence that followed, it would have been easy to hear the pitter patter of prehistoric paws on the hard surface of the ARC’s exceedingly expensive vinyl flooring.
If anything had been pitter pattering at that exact moment.
Which it wasn’t.
“The culprit is hardly likely to be hiding in my office, Mr Anderson.”
Matt wisely took the hint and left.
Lester looked down at the diictodon cowering under his desk and sighed.
He was going to have to find a replacement potted plant.
