Connor stared gloomily at the news reports. The UK was blanketed in snow and ice. If the ADD went off now, getting to the anomaly was going to be impossible.
Outside the building, the military contingent were engaged in the extremely serious business of building snow forts and pounding each other relentlessly with snowballs.
“Priorities, people!” Lester announced loudly from the top of the ramp. “Why should Captain Ryan and his men have all the fun?”
Connor looked up, mischief dancing in his eyes. “Are you serious?”
“Civilians against soldiers. I’m relying on you all not to let me down!”
