Becker stuck out his tongue and waggled it. “Definitely contagious.”

Jess rolled her eyes. “Pink and healthy, just like a tongue should look.”

“My glands are swollen…”

She put two cool hands on his neck. “No, they’re not.”

“I’m definitely feeling feverish.”

“You’ve just been sitting on the radiator.”

“That’s because I’m having a problem staying warm. I think I need to take two paracetamol and go straight back to bed.”

“I think you need to man up, you big baby.”

Becker treated her to his best puppy dog eyes.

“You’re only meeting my parents!”

“There’s no only about it…”
