How the hell did he get himself into this sort of thing?

He hated pub quizzes.

He knew nothing about sport.

He rarely got the chance to watch TV and to him, watching a soap opera was about as much fun as sticking his hand into a carnosaurs mouth.

So how come he’d ended up being shoved forward to answer the tie-breaker?

The quizmaster cleared his throat and banged on the table for silence.

“Name the period of time in the Mesozoic which came between the Triassic and the Cretaceous ……”

Connor grinned. Maybe there was a god, after all.
