There were days when James Lester felt that alien invasion could not come a moment too soon.
Today was one of those days.
Cutter was arguing with Ryan, again, about the use of lethal force.
Temple was looking vague.
Hart was distractingly pretty, but vacant.
Leek was perving anything with a pulse and Jenny Lewis had forgotten that he took one sugar in his coffee.
He wondered whether he had been better off with a knighthood and an assistant named Claudia Brown.
She probably wouldn’t have forgotten his sugar.
And he would have enjoyed making them all call him sir.
