High heels and a quick mind.

A sharp suit and an even sharper tongue.

Dark red lipstick.

Bright red blood.

A woman who preferred guns to ponies, who hadn’t flinched facing him that day in the church.

She’d been with them when it mattered. Another civil servant who hadn’t run from a fight.

She was part of the team now.

She wasn’t Claudia, she was Jenny Lewis and in spite of himself, Nick Cutter was starting to appreciate the differences.

He had begun to wonder if he was just chasing a dream.

He had started to think he didn’t care.

Yes, there's more to Jenny than the fans have given her credit for, I think. I do miss Claudia, but there's a lot to Jenny as well.

Lovely piece. Thanks for writing a Jenny & Nick perspective. As much as I enjoyed watching Claudia & Nick interaction, Jenny & Nick take it to a whole other level. I am so very glad that they had Lucy Brown stay on for Jenny's role. It's amazing how she's been able to switch gears to Jenny from Claudia and yet still have Claudia about the edges. You've probably already done so but this interview with Lucy after S2 premier really captures Jenny and her relationship with Nick and how they reach an understanding at end of S2.

I really liked Claudia, but I also like Jenny a lot as well, and I agree that Lucy was excellent in the way she switched between the two.

My main series is effectively pre-season 1 ending, which gived me no scope fo Jenny, but I am intending to use her more in my parallel universe AU. She's a fascinating character.
