“Get you a drink?” A dark-haired man in his mid-20s leaned on the bar next to him.
Lester glanced at the man, not bothering to disguise his interest. Too young for him, but after a messy divorce, beggars couldn’t be choosers.
“Gin and tonic.” He’d happily throw his untouched one back in one, even though he was starting to feel slightly vague around the edges.
The man leaned forward, knocking the full glass onto the floor. “Sorry.”
At Lester’s flash of annoyance, his green-eyed companion murmured, “The barman’s spiking your drinks. I’ll take you home, Sir James. Captain Ryan’s orders.”
