“The spooks think that someone might be intending to use dinosaurs to commit acts of terrorism?”
“That would appear to be the case, captain.”
“Evidence?”
“The minister has the intellectual capacity of Connor Temple’s socks. Evidence is not something that he concerns himself with.”
Ryan resisted the temptation to bang his head on Lester’s desk.
“It could be worse, Ryan. We could have Vauxhall Cross to deal with as well as Thames House.”
“International dinosaur terrorists?”
“Please don’t suggest that to anyone, not if you value my already waning sanity.”
“It’ll be our secret, sir.”
