primeval100 challenge 738, Little White Lie
The lights flickered.
Lester quickly saved the document he was working on.
He rubbed his temples, trying to drive out the growing headache.
Darkness suddenly enveloped the ARC, leaving only the pale gleam of the emergency lights.
The glare of his laptop screen in the gloom intensified the sharp pain in his head.
“Norman says it’ll take quite a while to fix, Sir James,” Lorraine called.
Lester sighed. Time to go home.
Once his boss had driven away from the gates, Norman turned the lights back on.
Sometimes desperate measures were needed to prevent the director from working to excess.
