If you haven't watched the Captain Jack Episode, don't read this!

Well, having diligently set the DVD to record last night as we had people round, I then totally forgot to watch it until this afternoon.  Brain dead or what?  Anyway .........

Random thoughts in no particular order :

1.   Was I the only one who found the episode very reminiscent of early Blake's 7?  I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's just something that struck me.  Maybe it was Terry Nation's stuff in general that it reminded me of? Anyway, I did enjoy it.

2.   It can't just be me who hopes someone will do a Doctor/Jack/The Master threesome in some form or another.? Way too many pretty men in this episode for comfort!  Love John Sims.

3.   Prize for best "speaking look" goes to the cute guy in the corridor that Jack flirted with.  I really liked him!

4.   Isn't it typically male that two blokes can only discuss emotion when they are separated by 6 inch plate steel and one of them is busily being irradiated?  Even when one of the blokes is Jack, it's still true.

5.   It has to have been the slashiest episode of the series. Is that why I enjoyed it?

I did love this episode!

1. I'd love to agree but I think Blake's 7 is one of the only things I have never ever seen... I am deprived!

2. *writes...writes some more* Is it awful that I'm doing this with barely any Master characterisation at all? I should be poked with sharp sticks or something...

3. Cute guy in corridor was very cute, I did love the Doctor's 'Oi' every time Jack spoke to someone in a suggestive way...ie spoke to someone.

4. So very typically male, though the Doctor did look stunning behind glass back-lighted in red so I'll let it slide.

5. It was and yes, and probably yes...

1. Also never watched Blake's 7 (clearly that means shame on me!). Although my Dad does have some vids, so may be able to remedy this situation...

2. There was indeed much, much pretty. And John Simm is just *squee*. I totally loved his madness and brilliance (kudos also to Derek Jacobi, who was also ace!)

3. Hee, that was so Jack. And the Doctor telling him off every time he flirted was so reminiscent of Nine telling him 'for you, hello is flirting' (or something like that) back in Bad Wolf. It was like they'd never been apart. Except, of course, they have - hence much wonderful fic!

4. So, so true. And I thought the Doctor was being a bit creepy throughout as well. Don't know if this was deliberate, but it definitely added something extra.

5. Again, yes and yes. Although, and I hate to say it, it might just have been the teeniest bit anticlimactic, after we've been waiting for it for so long *ducks as people throw heavy objects*

Aaaaargh! Doctor/Jack/Master! That's so not an image that I wanted at this time in the morning when I'm at work and not supposed to be thinking about such things. (I'll have that visual place with me all day now - very distracting).

John Simm definitely looked like he was enjoying himself a lot in those last few minutes, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

I can't comment on the Blake's 7 as I haven't seen enough of it to know. I must watch it at some point.

Hope you don't mind me commenting, but had to throw my 2 cents in. If you thought Utopia was the slashiest Who episode ever, wait until you see The Sound of Drums (if you haven't already) and I'd probably die if I read Doctor/Jack/Master fic. Just way to much pretty there.

Have you seen John Simm in Life on Mars? He's brilliant.

I was totally over the moon with the idea of a Doctor/Jack/Master 3some and then you mention Jack in chains/Doctor to add to the mix (personally I would like to have Jack in chains myself...). I'm hoping you will be writing said fic yourself very soon seeing as you do this so well.

At last, someone here for you who loved all of Blake's 7 and yes, I thought that about Utopia as well.

"the Doctor should sooo have kissed him. Oh and Jack should have kissed the Doctor. Am I obsessing here???"
Yes you are lol, but that doesn't alter the fact that it SOO should have happened.

Great minds think alike right? I suppose due to only going to the LJ site via my alerts for Primeval and Torchwood I'm always going to have trouble navigating. I've actually never accessed the site itself. Loved part 2, just keep it (and them ;-) )coming...

As it goes, I only tend to read Primeval and Torchwood fanfic on here and there is so much of it. I have a Google alert on both topics so that picks up most things. May be a cop out, but it seems much easier than trying to find my way around here.

LMAO and I thought I was the computer dense one. Hubby told me how to set it up and I have one for Primeval and One for Torchwood. They get EVERYTHING. Thought that was the easy option.

You should try them. They pull up everything with the requested word in so some of it is not what you want, but I've found them very useful they just need a bit of weeding lol.

I have no idea about user pics either. Trouble is I don't think hubby knows about them so I'm out of luck.
