Nick was always impressed by the way the soldiers scrambled out of the bunkrooms in the middle of the night every time so bloody fast.
Fully dressed; fully awake; everything on the right way round.
He could barely manage to get his shoes on the correct feet at 2.30am after no more than three hours sleep.
And no, he had no intention whatsoever of telling anyway that he’d just driven out of the carpark behind the wheel of the Hilux before realising his underwear was on back to front.
But he knew eventually he’d have to stop for a pee…
