Summary : Written for [livejournal.com profile] primeval100 challenge 762, A Smattering of Snow

“A smattering, my little Arctic hare? A smattering?”

Lyle shifted slightly in the passenger seat, muttering, “Bloody Met Office.”

“In all fairness, the Met Office predicted four inches of snow overnight. You translated that as ‘a smattering’.”

“It’s four o’clock in the afternoon, overnight hardly applies.”

“Weather forecasting is not an exact science.”

Lester dropped into first gear and executed a near perfect turn in the car park before driving back into the ARC’s internal garage.

“I was looking forward to that faggot and peas in the Hunters,” Lyle grumbled.

“Never mind, sweetpea. You can build a nice snowman instead.”

I'm sure Lester is pleased that he's not going to have to contend with Lyle's digestive system after the Hunters' faggot and peas!

To be fair to Lyle, weather forecasts can often be open to interpretation! *g*
