primeval100 challenge 777 Ancestors
The creatures were a peaceful lot.
They spent their days scavenging for food; snatching bones and scraps of flesh from the kills of fiercer creatures.
The only things they hunted were some ground-dwelling gophers and the fish in the stream.
Danny knew he had to learn from them to survive.
So, he watched them fish, and when they got used to his presence, he joined them when they went scavenging.
Like them, he split bones for marrow, and ate the meat and fish raw.
Eventually, they included him in their grooming sessions.
Danny liked the tribe.
And they liked him.
