The woman’s face was carefully schooled, displaying no first day nerves.
Her fitted jacket, red silk shirt, sober black trousers and sensible shoes set the standard for acceptable business dress.
Lorraine Wickes been by far the best candidate, and he was secretly pleased to have tempted her away from M15.
“Good morning, Ms Wickes. And welcome to the ARC. You’re read the briefing document, I presume?”
“The work here involves dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, sir. “
“Together with the occasional visitor from the future.”
“Page 12, paragraph six.”
He smiled. This one would swim not sink.
