Shock froze Danny into immobility, adrenaline flooding his system as his brain struggled to process the information fed to it from his eyes.
His brother.
Alive.
Older, much older, but unmistakeable.
The same dark hair and expressive eyes, but now with fine lines around them. Eyes that had seen more than they ever should have done.
Danny had been on the Anomaly Project long enough to know what horrors Patrick must have faced in any world that contained the chameleon-like creatures with their sharp claws and vicious pointed teeth.
He pulled his brother into a tight hug.
“Surprise,” Patrick murmured.
