“I’m terribly sorry, Minister, Sir James is out of the office.” Lorraine said smoothly, waving one hand imperiously at her boss.

Lyle, leaning casually against the wall, made a zipping motion across his lips.

Lester sat down on the black sofa and listened with amusement as his PA expertly fobbed off an irate junior minister.

After 48 gruelling hours in the office, he was now under orders to get some rest, and he knew perfectly well that against a coalition of his assistant and his boyfriend he stood no chance.

“I’m out of the office, please fuck off,” he muttered.
