“No, absolutely not.” Cutter’s response was redolent with the bone deep disgust reserved for recalcitrant undergraduates foolish enough to ask for extra time in which to submit already overdue coursework.
“Orders from the PM’s press office, Cutter,” Jenny said.
Cutter glared. “What happened to the good old days of keeping the public in the dark and feeding them bullshit?”
“Convergence happened,” Lester said succinctly. “But with your trustworthy face on our new website, the public will sleep easily in their beds.”
“Say ‘cheese’, Professor,” the photographer said cheerfully.
If looks could kill, the man would have left in a basket.
