“Come on, mate, furry is cuter.” Connor leaned back in his chair and grinned down at the large black cat sprawled across his lap.

Becker rolled his eyes. “Well, you lot can explain them to Lester.”

“Explain what to Lester?”

Becker turned to find his boss approaching, a mass of ginger fur in his arms and a kitten on each shoulder.

“The temple cats, sir.”

Lester sighed. “And here was I thinking it was bring your pet to work day again.”
