“Mostly sessile?” Lester quirked an amused eyebrow. “The annoying student will no doubt be at home amongst organisms of that nature. “Do they present any threat?”
Cutter shrugged. “Unlikely. Unless the ones that Connor are studying somehow bring about the destruction of life as…”
“…we know it?” Lester’s handwave elevated dismissal to new heights. “Yes, professor, I do believe you’ve mentioned that before.”
“And I’ll keep bloody mentioning it!”
Lester smiled. “Naturally.” He turned to his personal assistant. “Ms Wickes, please file the professor’s remarkably short and uninformative report under E for Ediacarans, P for Precambrian and H for Harmless.”
