“An impressive display.” The PM nodded approvingly, starring at the massive array of screens over Connor’s desk.

Lester studiously avoided meeting Cutter’s eyes. The Eccentric Academic’s views on the current lackwit running the country were well known.

Connor beamed and launched into a rambling explanation of the latest upgrade to the Anomaly Detection Device that left even Lester confused, despite the interminable budget requests he’d had to approve.

Just as the PM was turning away, every screen flickered once then went dark.

A moment later, the sound of a vacuum cleaner split the resulting silence.

“Wrong plug, Dot!” Connor yelled.

LOL! Only too real. We had to tell our cleaners not to unplug the serial printer at work because it took hours to get it back working!
