Connor, trying in vain to avoid a heated debate on the latest IT budget between a wildly-gesticulating Cutter and the newly-appointed head of the biology unit yelled back to the duty technician, “On my way, mate!” adding, “Sorry, profs, must dash!”
Nearby, an irate Abby loudly tore a strip off the newest member of the security team for mishandling a juvenile cynodont.
“Haven’t any of you got offices to go to?” Lester’s icy tones cut through the hubbub like a knife. “This is neither a playground nor a circus!”
“Isn’t it?” Lorraine muttered.
