“Wow!” Connor’s voice held something resembling awe as he stared at the signed first edition of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight.

Abby smiled. It was his birthday and she’d wanted to get him something special. It seemed she’d succeeded.

On impulse, Connor leaned forward to give her a quick peck on the cheek.

She tilted her head and the kiss landed on her mouth, exactly where she’d intended. His dark eyes widened in surprise.

Abby smiled, opening her mouth under his. His tongue flickered out shyly. Her hand on his neck stopped him pulling away. It was the best present ever.

It was a great prompt for multiple pairings. yes, I wanted to try and do one for all the main pairings that I've worked with, and Abby/Connor snook in, even though I've only used those two in drabbles.

I'll be honest and say, if I had to pick a least-favourite pairing out of the common ones, Abby/Connor would be it, partly because I'm more slash-leaning, but also I think they're too young for me. I like to see them together, but I don't feel called to write them except in a gen way.
