“Stop staring,” Abby hissed. “You’ll frighten him.”
“Don’t give me any of that ‘he’s more scared of you than you are of him’ bullshit. I’m terrified!”

“Come on, Abs, you’ve got to admit, that’s an impressive set of gnashers.”
“Connor, will you shut up!”
“Look, I swear he’s dislocating his jaw to get that in.”
“If his mother hears, you’ll be in trouble.”
Finn plonked a tray on the café table. “Did that kid over there just stuff a jumbo sausage roll in his mouth sideways?”
Abby promptly made a dash for the toilet.
