“It’s not doing a lot…” Finn poked dubiously at a brown blob on the ground.

“Put that fucking stick down, you bellend!” Ryan yelled.

“What if it’s hurt?”

“Then poking it with a stick won’t help.” Ryan thumbed his radio mic. “Abby, Hart, we might have something… round, fluffy harmless looking.”

When Abby and Stephen arrived, they traded a quick glance, then Abby stamped hard on the creature.

Finn stared at her in horror. “Was it that badly hurt?”

Stephen grinned. “It was the bobble off a woolly hat, not a bloody tribble!”

“Can’t be too careful,” Finn said airily.
