The predictable explosion of profanity from Cutter promptly endangered the eardrums of anyone in his blast radius.
“I’m on the case,” Jenny said briskly, the staccato tip tap of her blood red heels signaling her annoyance in a more genteel but equally lethal manner.
“What part of ‘here’s a DA notice’ did that moron fail to understand?” Lester demanded.
“The part where we told him to keep his big mouth shut,” Cutter fumed.
“Panic over!” Lorraine called. “Radio 4’s off the air.”
