“He’s brash, reckless, annoying…” Jenny paused to draw breath in the middle of her tirade.

“He has no respect for authority,” Lester supplied helpfully.

“He’s much better with the animals than I expected.” Abby stared thoughtfully at the latest security camera footage of Danny smuggling an apple to a winsome eohippus in the holding pens.

“He’s a bloody nightmare,” Becker muttered.

“You’ll need to be more creative than that, mate,” Connor said. “Come on you can say what you really think.”

Becker sighed theatrically. “He’s inventive, brave and a good leader. Like him or not, we can’t do without him.”
