A pair of large brown long-lashed eyes peered around the shelves and blinked in the light of the torches.

“Found one,” Stephen murmured into his throat microphone.

A pair of large brown hairy ears twitched in response.

“Come on, fur face, I’ve got some lovely juicy fruit for you…”

A long-fingered paw reached out and grasped a ripe peach.

The creature, in blissful ignorance of a large sign stating ‘No food or drink in the archives’ buried its whiskered snout in the juicy fruit with relish.

“One down, about thirty more to go,” Nick told him.

Stephen grimaced. “Thanks, mate.”
