Rome, Episode 3, Still No Bears

Definitely spoilers for Episode 3 .........

Well:

1.   Pullo is still reasonable, bless the little darling, but

2.   I think Vorenus has a valid point, the lad made an offer, and the other guy took him up on it! Shouldn't offer to suck cock if you're going to whinge afterwards! Stands to reason.

3.   Lots of lovely gratuitous nakedness.  I knew Mark Anthony couldn't keep his kit on through another entire episode.

4.   I need to watch the previous season again, I missed more than  thought. What went on between cuddly-Pullo and Mrs V ??

5.   Some excellent lines and lots of bad behaviour!

6.   But still no bears ..................

4. Well, I'll put it this way: in your last commentary-post about Rome, I thought you were referring to Pullo in season 1, with Mrs V watching Pullo play with the baby. (until I hear otherwise, the kid is hereby dubbed "Lucius the Younger")

6. Well, you generally didn't see bears in Urbs Rome unless you were watching a gladiatorial game. (and even then, not always even then)

True, it is all very confusing, and several of the women and all of the kids look the same to me!!

I think the bears just crept in from A Winter' Tale, and since then, they seem to have set up camp in the various threads and seem to be here to stay! Oiled or otherwise ......

2. Actually, I think there was a suggestion the lad was Greek, which makes the whinging even stranger. He id offer, after all!

I must confess - when you said "Pullo's mrs", I thought to myself, "honest mistake, happens to us all...Pullo's no more marryable than is Sherlock Holmes"

...if for different reasons.

ps: though, in season 1 episode 3, when Pullo was telling Vorenus the secrets of the female body, and Vorenus asked "how do you know this?", I thought he was going to kill Pullo, fearing some hot-and-heavy Pullo/Niobe action had been going on behind his back.

I'm a Brutus girl so I love his scene at the lake in this episode. So hot.

Yes, the Lake bit was lovely!! Yes, I've been enjoying it, but the Cuddly Pullo as opposed to Psycho Pullo has been a bit of a role reversal!! I had a major tantrum on Sunday when my DVD failed to record, so will have to watch tonight episode then watch Sunday's tomorrow, which will be a bit disjointed, but better than missing it entirely! I've a great fondness for Pullo, and a sneaking liking for Mark Antony, and Brutus is well cute, so all in all, lots of lovely slashy fun all round! I think I'll need to join the Rome slashfic site and come and play on your side of things a bit more often!

Please do join. Rome slashfic is a great thing. My Rome OTP has to be Brutus/Antony, but I'm sure you know this. I wish there was more Rome slash out there, though. I do know someone who is in the process of writing Pullo/Brutus slash, which I find very intriguing.
