Happy New Year & Fic Stats 2008
Jan. 1st, 2009 12:02 pmHappy New Year to my wonderful flist! Thanks for your all your friendship and support guys! 2008 was a difficult year on all fronts, healthwise, personally and at work, so in those respects, I'm not sorry to see the back of it. But on a more positive note, I've had more fun in fandom and on LJ than ever before, in large part due to the wonderful
primeval_denial . Thanks for making it such a fantastic comm, guys! I've also met several of my flist friends outside of LJ now, and had a great time with everyone.
And because everyone on my flist list seem to have been totting up their fic production, I've done the same!! The links are all on my masterlist post, but the bald stats are that in 2008 I have produced 162,332 words of Primeval fic, of which 8,400 were drabbles, The series Falls the Shadow weighed in at 32,327, and Silk and Steel, now being co-authored with my darling Evil Twin, munchkinofdoom, has reached 27 published parts and a word count of 50,031. So it's pretty obvious from this that Primeval has continued to eat my brain.
This was a huge increase on 2007, when my Primeval output was 113,948.
And I very much hope to keep it up in 2009, having signed up for the Primeval Big Bang !! Thanks for reading, commenting, and being there for me, guys!!

Date: 2009-01-01 12:34 pm (UTC)Yep, there were a lot of drabbles, but I'm chuffed that my main fic output managed to exceed 2007 by a comfortable margin as well.
I also aim to try and write for every weeks challenge in 2009 in Primeval100. I didn't miss many last year, and I caught up most of those in the Past Challenge weeks, but I still have a few to catch up when there's next an open week.
It's been great getting to know you :)

Date: 2009-01-01 12:35 pm (UTC)Actually, I think I'll put a post in Denial asking people for their word counts, then we can have some idea how much we've produced!

Date: 2009-01-01 02:10 pm (UTC)Your fic output is pretty awesome, and it's been great reading them. Primeval really seems to be bunny-breeding material :-) 8,400 in drabbles alone is a humongous number of drabbles - I think I've written less than a dozen all-told :-D

I really hope 2009 is a good year for you on all fronts, and I would adore to meet up again! I'll be there with bells on for all your fic, you can be sure of that!
Happy new year :)
